CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT

JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated and enthusiastic Customer Service Assistant who would like to work within a busy events company. The role would require the right candidate to work in the office on Wednesday and Thursday and from home on Friday and Saturday. The chosen candidate will be working alongside our Customer Service Manager, dealing with general enquiries, compliments and complaints via email and across our social media channels. We are looking for someone to be a strong representation of the brand and uphold our high standard of communication with our customers.

Our Customer Service Assistant must be a ‘people person’ with excellent communication skills. You will also need good numeracy and literacy skills and basic IT skills. We would require you to be flexible to work occasional additional hours in line with operational needs.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicating with customers via social media and private channels

  • Dealing with a variety of incoming queries, providing consistent responses in line with our policies and procedures

  • Responding to refund and transfer requests 

  • Assisting with guestlist and table reservation requests

  • Assisting with ticket releases for upcoming shows

  • Escalating any potential complaints to Customer Service Manager 

  • Ad hoc requests 


ESSENTIALS

  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  •  Grade C or above in English and Maths at GCSE 

  •  Minimum 2 years customer service/support experience

  •  Friendly and approachable

  •  Patient and understanding 

  •  Excellent problem-solving skills 

  •  A high standard of organisational and administrative skills 

  •  Ability to work under pressure and under time constraints

DESIRABLES

  • Basic knowledge of Excel

  • Experience working in an events company
