Bongo’s Bungalow competing in Cocktails in the City Liverpool with custom Bongo’s cocktails

We’re very excited to announce that on 28th & 29th June (this weekend) we will be taking part in the Cocktails in the City competition at The Great Baltic Warehouse. Entering our very own Bongo’s Bingo inspired showcase cocktails; the Pink Fluffy Unicorn and Nana Bongo’s Cream Tea.

The event will kick off at 6pm on both days, running until 11pm. Jonny and the BB team will be heading down to show some support too so look out for some familiar bingo faces. Complimentary cocktails will be handed out on arrival and there will also be the chance to purchase the entry cocktails on the night too from some amazing local city centre bars including Red Door, Berry & Rye and Ex-Directory. For those wanting to come along, tickets are available to purchase via the Cocktail in the City website linked below.

Tickets can be purchased here - https://www.cocktailsinthecity.com/events/liverpool#/tickets

Both cocktails have been specially formulated by the Bongo’s Bungalow team; The Pink Fluffy Unicorn is a Bongo’s Bungalow favourite, made with Turncoat Vodka, Cranberry, Citrus, Fraise & William Fox's Unicorn Shimmer finished with Grandma's False teeth. Our second entry, Nana’s Bongo’s Cream Tea was specifically created for the competition. This drink takes you back to your Nan’s living room...sipping on tea, dunking custard creams and sucking Worthers Originals, paired with a splash of Amaretto & Turncoat Vodka. This devine addition was named by one of our social media followers after we ran a comp asking asking you to help us come up with its official title - shoutout to Sarah Davis for the chosen name!

Wesley Baxter, Bar Manager at Bongo’s Bunglow, and co-creator of our showcase cocktails said: “I’m really looking forward to Cocktails in the City coming back to The Great Baltic Warehouse after it being hosted in St George’s Hall last year, which was a beautiful venue but the buzz around the Baltic area adds that bit more to the event. With some amazing bars showcasing their cocktails I can’t wait to see what’s on offer. There is a few new faces I’m really excited to see and try out at the event are Volpi, Pins, and Petit Cafe. Most of all our very own Bongos Bungalow being a part of it all! That’s the big highlight for me!
